Ask Partner Central

For any deal AWS already has, the opportunity page has an Ask Partner Central card. Ask in plain language, for example "What is AWS asking us to do next?" or "Who from AWS is working on this?". The answer comes from AWS's own Partner Central agent.

How it works

  • The question goes to the AWS Partner Central Agent MCP Server with your opportunity's ID and catalog.
  • The agent reads Partner Central as your AWS account, through the access role you deployed. It sees exactly what that role may read and nothing else.
  • Every call identifies CoSell to AWS (integrator: HabileLabs, sourceProduct: CoSell Platform), so AWS can attribute the request.
  • Answers usually take 10 to 30 seconds. The card shows Partner Central is answering… and fills in by itself, with what the agent looked up on the way.
  • Follow-up questions continue the same conversation for up to 48 hours.

Changes the agent proposes

The agent can offer to change things: an opportunity's close date or stage, or a funding (benefit) application. What happens depends on Settings → General → Changes by the Partner Central agent:

  • Decline every change (read-only), the default. CoSell declines the change in the agent's session and tells you. Change the deal in Zoho instead, and CoSell sends it to AWS.
  • Ask us to approve each change. The change appears in the thread as a proposal, with the agent's explanation, the tool it wants to run and its parameters. You can:
    • Approve in Partner Central: the agent makes the change.
    • Reject, optionally with a reason.
    • Send instructions instead: tell the agent what to do differently.

If the change touches a field Zoho owns for this deal (next steps, close date, expected spend, stage and the others your mapping sends from Zoho), the card warns you. AWS takes the change, but the next edit of the deal in Zoho sends Zoho's value back. Make lasting changes to those fields on the Zoho deal; for next steps, Draft next steps does it for you.

CoSell sends your answer in the same agent session and adds the agent's reply to the thread. An approved change to a tracked opportunity is brought back into Zoho straight away. A proposal expires with its 48-hour session. See Drafts and approvals.

Funding applications need the access role from the October 2026 template; update your stack before turning this on.

Limits

  • AWS answers about two questions a minute for each AWS account. If you ask faster, the card says so; ask again a minute later.
  • If the card says the AWS role cannot read something, update your stack with the latest onboarding template (how).
  • Questions and answers are kept for 48 hours. The audit log records who asked about which opportunity, and each answer and decision.
  • For questions about the whole pipeline, funding or Marketplace, use the assistant. It asks Partner Central for you when it needs to.
