Partners on an opportunity
An opportunity AWS has can have other AWS partners on it. Each invited partner gets their own opportunity in the same engagement, and AWS sees everyone involved. The deal's page shows Partners on this opportunity.
Who is on it
The card lists the engagement's members: AWS, your company, and every partner who accepted an invitation. It also lists the invitations you sent, with their status: pending, accepted, rejected or expired. A partner has 15 days to answer.
Invite a partner
- Connect with the partner first, in Partner Central (Partner Connections, connection type opportunity collaboration). Partner Central only delivers invitations to connected partners.
- On the card, choose the connected partner (or give their 12-digit AWS account ID).
- Say what they are asked to be, for example Services Partner or Reseller.
- Write a short message and click Send invitation.
The invitation carries the opportunity's customer and project as Partner Central holds them: company, website, industry, country, business problem, target close date and expected spend. If one of these is missing, CoSell says which; fill it on the Zoho deal and sync first.
The opportunity must already have been submitted to AWS. An engagement can have ten partners in all.
Keep partners up to date
Partner Central shares your later changes with the other partners through snapshot jobs, which need a role set once
for your organisation. If none is set, the card says so. An admin can then click Use CoSell's role, which uses the
role your onboarding stack created (CoSellResourceSnapshotJob-us-east-1). CoSell never replaces a role your
organisation already uses.
Invitations from other partners
When another partner invites you, the invitation arrives under AWS invitations like a referral from AWS. Accepting it creates the Zoho deal.
